Chapter 4: The God in the Cave pt2

Chapter 4: The God in the Cave (pt2)

The next day, that is, the seventh day of Jiang Zhu's arrival in this world.

Jiang Zhu was a little surprise. Every time he slept before, he would dream of the scene of the undead and the torn bodies, and he could only sleep for an hour before he would wake up with cold sweat.

But this time he actually slept until the sun was shining.

Looking down, the little boy with the snail shell on his back was drilling into his pocket with his ass upturned, presumably stealing candy to eat.

Uncle Jiao Jiang that after getting this Nightmare witchcraft, he did not have to worry about the problem of not being able to sleep. The effect is really good and immediate. The art of witchcraft was really magical.

He broke the lozenge candy into two and gave it to the little Nightmare, but the little guy was stunned.

Holding half a piece of sugar, it ran away from Jiang Zhu’s sleeves. He’ll use the other half to trick it later.

The old turtle has stopped moving. It only moves at night and rest once during the day.

Not far away came Sheng Xiao’s voice: “Jiang Zhu, I have finished boiling the medicine.”

While talking, he wiped his own saliva. Here, he can exchange medicine for food with Jiang Zhu.

Jiang Zhu took out the thousand years old jade stem in his pocket: "We'll only have this today."

While using the Pharmacist to heal the wounds, the two discuss how they will eat.

Then the stone jar of boiling medicinal juice became a pot for boiling soup.

The soup is like milk, with a sweet taste and when drank into the stomach, it gives the feeling of a stream of air flowing inside the body.

But... it can't make you full.

After finishing their meal, jiang Zhu observed where they were resting today.

All the eyes can see is hills, continuous rolling hills... strange...

All the hills were full of grass but if you look closely, you can see that there were burnt marks everywhere, and the soil was red, as if it has been stained by blood.

Traces of time are inscribed on these hills not like those that are caused by a recent wildfire, because there is no ash here at all.

The cause of the burn mark should have happened a long, long time ago, but its strange that after such a long time, why haven't a single weed grown back?

Jiang Zhu know how strong the vitality of weeds is. It’s like this place was cursed.

It's very strange here, with a sorrowful feeling in the air, as if it were telling some ancient myth and legend.

Jiang Zhu couldn't help but think of the mural he saw in the cave yesterday. The ten suns in the sky shone brightly, burning the earth. If it was really close to the ground, then maybe it could really burn such a vast area.

Could it be that the history recorded in the mural from the cave yesterday took place here?

So, the undead woman who was burned in the mural should also be buried here?

Jiang Zhu looked around again, the reddish earth on the ground seemed to have some incredible curse, so neither the undead nor the Garuda in the sky dared to step into this area.

It's dead silent, but unexpectedly safe.

Jiang Zhu kept thinking.

This time, the old turtle rest for a long time and even Uncle Jiao Jiang came over and asked why the old turtle didn't leave.

Jiang Zhu was stunned. That's right. Before, the old turtle would immediately move after resting for a while, what's going on today?

The one inside the bronze coffin played too much and was too late to get up from the bed?

Jiang Zhu walked to the bronze coffin, if he doesn't ask, Uncle Jiao Jiang doesn't dare to go near the bronze coffin.

He went to the bronze coffin and asked, and after waiting for a long time, he thought he wouldn't get an answer when suddenly a low voice came out.

"Xuanpu Hill."

Jiang Zhu: "?"

"It's here?

Jiang Zhu was utterly shocked. He once asked where the destination of the person inside the bronze coffin was.

He remembered the answer of the cold voice, Xuanpu Hill.

Jiang Zhu look at the hills that stretch endlessly but did not grow any grass. He could not make a sound.

There are people, countless people who want to come here with the best hope in the world, and Jiang Zhu can't imagine how huge and unbearable the devastating blow of disillusionment will be when they get the answer.

Perhaps, this place used to be filled with birds and flowers, ancient trees and prey everywhere, truly a mythical garden, but at least now it was land that was dry and dead and cursed with the blood that stained the earth. Except for some unknown reason that the undead and Garuda don't dare to enter here, the resource in this land is much worse than outside.

Uncle Jiao Jiang waved to Jiang Zhu with some anxiety.

Jiang Zhu walked over.

Uncle Jiao Jiang: "How is it?"

Jiang Zhu took a deep breath: "It's estimated that he will not leave for the time being."

The cruelest words in the world, Jiang Zhu still couldn't bear to say it, because Uncle Jiao Jiang had said that his ancestors and their ancestors, and now to his generation, have travelled far and wide but never stopped.

Jiang Zhu knew that if the hope of the generations was extinguished in an instant, he really can't imagine how Uncle Jiao Jiang would end up.

And there are many, many more teams like Uncle Jiao Jiang.

Because the truth is too heavy, not even the strongest people can hopefully accept the cruelty of reality.

After Jiang Zhu finished speaking, he left. He was afraid Uncle Jiao Jiang would ask more questions.

Jiang Zhu returned to the old turtle's back, holding half a golden leaf in his hand. It is a medical herb that can cure the infection of the scratch and bite of the undead. It is said that the leaf of this golden tree is very precious.

The one in the bronze coffin used half to save him, and the remaining half he collected.

Jiang Zhu looked at the tattoo in his palm again. It was already very clear, the silver gate and the sun, moon and stars that merge into it, just like when he first saw it.

So far though, he had no idea what's the significance of such a change is.

The more he thinks, the hungrier he became, and his stomach grunted again. He had only drunk a bowl of water today; the soup of the thousand-year-old jade stem was only enough to plug his teeth.

However, the wounds on his body, he doesn’t unknow whether it’s because of the soup, but it actually scarred and when torn off, it revealed an intact white skin behind it.

It's very magical.

Still, he was so hungry that he had to ask the one inside the bronze coffin for some jerky.

He slides down the turtle and got close to the bronze coffin.

"I'll teach you another game today, it's more fun that Tetris."

A hand inside the coffin reached out.

The corner of Jiang Zhu's mouth twitched. Hardcore players are really different.

He was about to hand over the phone when he noticed his hand and Jiang Zhu was stunned. His hand began to become transparent, like... he's disappearing from this world.

The tattoo on the palm of his hand was a hot as a flame.

The bronze coffin shook, before it returned to dead silence.

"God's collection." An icy voice drifted through the void.
