Chapter 3: Xuanpu Hill

Chapter 3: Xuanpu Hill

Jiang Zhu is not worried about running out of power on his mobile phone, his travel backpack has a small hand-powered generator in it.

This kind of hand-powered generator is mainly used for emergency purposes to charge your phone, such as being trapped in a natural disaster during your travel and your mobile phone has no power to call for rescue.

Of course, the speed of generating electricity is somewhat difficult to say. After all, its an emergency supply, but if you shake it real hard, you can also fully charge your mobile phone.

Jiang Zhu asked the person inside the bronze coffin whether he wanted to play games, and after minute, a ‘creaked’ sounded and an arm reached out in the pushed open slit from the inside of the bronze coffin and grabbed the mobile phone.

It’s very creepy.

Jiang Zhu said: “Do you need me to teach you how to use it?”

With a creaking sound, the coffin lid closed.

Jiang Zhu felt so cold that he shivered.

He quickly added: “Save some electricity.”

It’s unknown whether the other party heard it or not.

You think he was willing to expose his phone in an unknown situation?

Six days ago, Jiang Zhu and the undead corpse rolled down in front of the old turtle.

In an instant, the incomparably powerful undead was knocked out by the old turtle.

Jiang Zhu should be glad that it was not him who was hit, otherwise, with that force, he would have been crushed to pieces, but being stared at curiously by an old turtle with eyes as huge as a lantern might not be better than holding that undead.

Jiang Zhu vaguely noticed that there seemed to be some people around him, and quickly struggled to get the people to dial 120 and call the police.

But when his eyes cleared, he found that the situation was very different from what he expected, and some people in the crowd actually had three heads in their neck.

No one dared to come closer. Jiang Zhu shed a lot of blood, just like he was lying in a pool of blood and his state was extremely poor with his consciousness blurring.

The situation is unknown and there is no way to call for help.

Looking up with some sadness, the bright moon in the sky was bigger than anything he had ever seen, and there seemed to be a man standing on the back of the old turtle under the bright moon, his whole body was shrouded in a black robe, exuding an icy breath, leaving only a pair of condescending and indifferent dark eyes.

Jiang Zhu didn’t know why but his self-help consciousness was so strong at that time, and judging from the reaction of the crowd, it seemed that none of these  people would take the initiative to save him.

He had to save himself.

The people around him no longer look like the people in his world in terms of dressing and appearance.

Therefore, Jiang Zhu did not know why he suddenly have a whim. Picking up his mobile phone, he took a picture of the person on the back of the old turtle.

And held up the photo on the phone to the indifferent person himself.

He thought at that time, as long as this person is curious about the photo, he must first save himself to ask.

He would have never thought of this if he was sober.

Then he fainted from too much blood loss.

When he woke up, he was lying on the old turtle’s back, injured, but still alive.

As for playing with his mobile phone, Jiang Zhu himself took the initiative to propose it because he was hungry. He used this as an exchange for a little bit of food.

Then the wild child Sheng Xiao took the initiative to find him, in exchange for healing Jiang Zhu’s injury, he would get a little share of Jiang Zhou’s food.

Self-saving success.

For the sake of that little food, Sheng Xiao follows Jiang Zhou obediently.

Although they are in a team, the situation is somewhat special, and the food will not be shared with each other.

There are more than thirty people in this team. Some of them are old members, some just joined recently. The number of people who died of starvation along the way are unknown and there is no deep affection between them, only when they are in danger is the only time they will lend a hand so they can go further. As for sharing resources such as food, it is impossible. Whether you can find food or not depends on your ability.

A child like Sheng Xiao will actually starve to death and be abandoned on the side of the road before long and no one will remember that such a child ever existed.

A group of strangers gathering for nothing more than a vain hope.

Jiang Zhu waited next to the bronze coffin, and when there was no sound inside, he just shrugged his shoulders. The sound insulation effect was really good and he didn’t know if the person inside played on the phone or not.

The old turtle did not move and Jiang Zhu was not in a hurry. If it weren’t for the fact that there are danger everywhere, it was a pretty good day, windy and sunny, and he continued to play with the witchcraft on the palm of his hand.

The little boy with a snail shell on his back held up a small belly, the lozenge candy was eaten by it, and his little short legs jumped off his palm and ran.

But he didn’t run too far and made a 360 degree turn and rushed towards Jiang Zhu. Because Jiang Zhu was holding another lozenge candy in his hand and throwing it in the air.

The little boy jumped on Jiang Zhu’s body and cried out in a particularly miserable way.

He was having so much fun when the low voice of Sheng Xiao came from the side, “Jiang Zhu.”

With his hands behind his back, he carefully waved at Jiang Zhu.

Jiang Zhu walked over: “What’s wrong?”

Sheng Xiao look around like a little thief, before staring straight at him and then held out his hand that was hidden behind his back.

It was a snake, and it was not small.

“Let’s secretly make a fire and roast it.” He drooled as he spoke.

Jiang Zhu has not answered yet when someone seemed to have spotted them being sneaky and walked over: “What are you doing?”

Frightened, Sheng Xiao threw away the snake in his hand to the grass: “Nothing, I’m just asking Jiang Zhu to tell me a story.”

The serpent is the darling of the gods and those who see it must make a detour.

This is a world rule by the divine, and the snake is a symbol of the gods, so don’t even mention eating snakes.

Of course, if people are hungry and anxious, no one would really care about these, just like Sheng Xiao, but he did not dare to do this kind of thing alone, and wanted to pull Jiang Zhu along, and as a result, he was discovered.

The visitor looked at the two of them in question.

Jiang Zhou coughed, this kind of thing cannot be considered as a small or big thing, it’s just that if they encounter a group of crazy people who worship gods, they will be beaten to death.

The man looked at them twice and didn’t say anything,

Sheng Xiao glanced at the grass with some reluctance, the snake now has probably slithered somewhere unknown. He wiped the saliva from the corner of his mouth: “How unlucky. It wasn’t easy to catch. In fact, there are some people who do this but they have not been discovered."

Jiang Zhu said, “Hungry?”

He took out the last small piece of jerky from his pocket, which he had saved today that was replaced with a mobile phone to play games from the one inside the bronze coffin.

Sheng Xiao was really hungry. He grabbed the dried meat and stuffed it in his mouth and then look at Jiang Zhu while eating.

Jiang Zhu was really strange. He would actually give him food to eat. It’s something he had never encountered since he could remember.

He didn’t know who his parents were, he didn’t even have a name. He just remembered that he was looking around everyday for food, sometimes finding a little bit, sometimes starving for days.

He followed the team, because he heard that they were going to a place full of prey and berries. He didn’t understand much, but it must be the most beautiful place in the world.

Sheng Xiao said, “Should I give you a witchcraft? I used to only have one Pharmacist, and then they became a nest.”

Jiang Zhu rubbed Sheng Xiao’s head, although the Pharmacist looked interesting, it can only be used to treat people. Jiang Zhu doesn’t even know the plants of these world, so they would be useless in his hand.

“Who taught you how to heal with medicine?”

“I remember, it was an old man with a transparent belly. There were many people around him but I was so hungry that I anxiously begged him for food but he taught me this.”

Sheng Xiao curled his neck comfortably, he felt that Jiang Zhu’s hand was so warm. No one had ever touched his head before.

Jiang Zhu asked, “The one inside the coffin doesn’t come out during the day?”

Sheng Xiao thought about it for a while and shook his head: “I only heard people call him Hou1, anyway, I never saw him during the day. It was always the old turtle who pulled him away, and he never took the initiative to talk to people.”

“But I heard Uncle Jiao Jiang say that there are many legends about him circling between the mountains and rivers.”

Jiang Zhu became interested: “What legend?”

“That the bronze coffin was made by God.”

“That old turtle has lived longer than God, and if one lies on his back, they will live for three thousand years.”

“It is said that he has travelled all over the Great Wildness, and all ancient secret tribes circulated the existence of such a person. I heard that he has lived for a long time, and no one even knew how long he lived, and no one knew why he wandered between the mountains and rivers just like those undead. It’s a big mystery.

“He’s as terrifying as a beast.”

Jiang Zhu: “…”

What a mess, there are really all kinds of rumors.

On the boundless earth, an old turtle pulling a bronze coffin wanders aimlessly, the image feels a little desolate.

Sheng Xiao scratched his head, revealing a row of small teeth: “I also just listened to what other say.”

At this moment, the ground suddenly shook. It was the old turtle that raised one of its forefoots.

It’s about to start moving.

Jiang Zhu hurriedly climbed to the back of the old turtle. Because of the old turtle’s huge body, its turtle shell is thick, each piece of shells connection provides a climbing point and a little force can easily make one climbed up.

The line on the ground started and Sheng Xiao ran fast with his dirty stone jar.

Without the permission of the one inside the bronze coffin, no one dared to climb the old turtles back.

The chain on the old turtle’s body pulled the heavy bronze coffin, and it walked step by step between the deep streams of the mountains. With each of its steps, a roar could be heard.

This is picture that cannot be described in epics, shocking people’s heart and Jiang Zhou never thought that he would become a member of such a picture.

Its unknown how long it took, but as the white jade disc in the sky rose, a silent figure appeared behind Jiang Zhu.

Jiang Zhu only felt goosebumps and turned back.

Black robes, hoods, and a pitch black eyes that was as emotionless like a wild beast.

“No light.” A cold voice sounded.

Jiang Zhu was stunned. The mobile phone should have run out of battery.

Jiang Zhu reached for the mobile phone in the other person’s hand, and as soon as he touched it, he heard the endless roar of witchcraft in the other party’s sleeves.

It’s like.. the roar of the gods.

Fortunately, it seemed to be suppressed by something, restless but it did not attack.

Jiang Zhu took the phone.

The person who looked freezing cold used up all the battery of his mobile phone.

The air became quiet, and Jiang Zhu felt that if he did not take the initiative to speak, the other party would never open his mouth.

Jiang Zhu is usually not a person who take the initiative to open up a conversation, but the atmosphere was so cold that it inevitably make people panic.

Jiang Zhu carefully asked while shaking the small hand-powered generator: “Are you going somewhere or are you looking for something?”

He originally spoke to fill the silence but didn’t expect a hoarse voice to answer him: “Xuanpu Hill.”

Jiang Zhu was stunned.

It’s Xuanpu Hill again, the legendary place that was as beautiful as a paradise.

What exactly does Xuanpu Hill means to the people here?

This is something that is completely unimaginable to an outsider like Jiang Zhu who has not experienced a desperate situation for generations.

But, jiang Zhou asked in his heart, if the legendary Xuanpu Hill doesn’t exist, what should I do?

Create one?
